Marchetownhouses based in the southern Le Marche province of Ascoli Piceno aims to provide help and advice to prospective purchasers of property in the southern Le Marche area of Italy. We specialise in the sale and restoration of village houses and apartments, but over the years we have also come to offer country houses and farmhouses for sale. We believe that houses in the many beautiful hilltop villages and towns are the best choice for may clients only wishing to purchase a property in Italy for holiday use or investment purposes and we aim to provide a service second to none.

The idea of a business solely dedicated to the sale and restoration of village houses and apartments first came about nearly 8 years ago. Farmhouses and country houses have always been popular with foreign buyers in Italy, but village houses were never really a popular purchase for a holiday home.
We believed that for many buyers who only wanted a holiday base buying a large and expensive to run farmhouse was a bad move. So we started to put together a database of attractive village houses, most requiring restoration or at least a make over to bring up to modern standards.
Today there is a thriving market for village houses and apartments in Le Marche and we at Marchetownhouses believe we can satisfy prospective purchasers requirements and can offer a comprehensive range of services, including translation services, structural surveys, building services and a wealth of knowledge of the Italian property market.

Of course over the years we have been asked many times by clients if we could also find them something a bit different to a village house for their particular needs,  normally this would be a countryhouse or farmhouse in a prime position with nice views. So today we can offer a small range of  countryhouses and farmhouses for sale and they are always chosen by us to offer good value for money and also because we believe that once restored they will make their new owners a beautiful Italian home.

Our aim is to keep increasing the amount of properties on out database so as to offer an unrivalled choice of different types of properties to our growning international client list. The type of property demanded by clients also varies year by year, in 2006 and 2007 it was for large farmhouses for restoration with plenty of land. In 2008 it was mostly for apartments and both large and small village houses and so far in 2009 it is for smaller village houses and for farmhouses under 200sqm in size and with under a hectare of land. We are always willing to search for a particular type of property for clients and really enjoy being able to find a client the house of their dreams in this most beautiful part of Italy.
